6-Man Footall

Calvary Baptist Academy of New Braunfels is seeking homeschooled boys ages 7 - 12 grade to join their 6 man tackle football team for the 2020 season. The cost for participation is $250. Practices are held in the evenings at 6:30 pm starting August 24th. Games will be on Friday and Saturdays. The season will run through October. Uniforms will be provided for each player. The Panthers teams are Christ-centered basketball teams for home school boys and girls ages 12 - 18. The Panthers were established in 1995, and we've been growing ever since. Along the way we won trophies for State and National competition. Building character and friendships while playing basketball!

Youth Bowling Leagues

Our youth program serves kids from 6 to 18 years of age and focus on developing athletic skills and a lifelong love of the sport of bowling. Every child has an equal chance to compete on every play since there is no “bench” in bowling. Our programs focus on your kids and their positive experience to build Skill, Character and Self Confidence.

Youth bowlers usually participate in a league session once a week. Seasons and programs vary by age group, yet your child can join any ongoing program at any time.

BOOK IT! motivates children to read by rewarding their reading accomplishments with praise, recognition and pizza. It's a free program for students in grades K - 6. You set a reading goal for your child. When they reach the goal, they get a free pizza!

Classical Converstations

Classical Conversations is a Christ centered, Classical style co-op. Our mission is To Know God and To Make Him Known. Our homeschool co-cop is located at: The Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 14593 S St Hwy 123, Seguin TX 78155. We meet each Thursday from late Aug through April each year. We have programs for ages 4-11 currently with nursery available if needed for those under age 4. We have tutors who go over the weekly curriculum with parents and children, and the parents and children work on it during the week at home. The parents are the teachers; CC is just here to help introduce the curriculum for parents to use as they choose.

Eta Sigma Alpha recognizes and encourages scholarship among 9 - 12 grade home school students. We provide opportunities for the development of leadership and service and encourage the exchange of ideas and ideals to promote academic excellence.

TASC is a home school teen volunteering program for ages 10 and up. Every month we volunteer at organization for 2-3 hours. After we are done, it is time for fun! Volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, eat at a restaurant, board games, pickleball. Monthly social gathering is optional, but encouraged. Until Covid restrictions are lifted, we plan to meet weekly online so we can all get to know each other and plan when we can meet in person. The organization is student-led, and the adult coordinator this year is Jeanette Watje.

Violin Lessons by Shiree

Learn to play Violin, Viola or Cello. Ms. Shiree brings a fresh burst of fun and energy to learning stringed instruments. Ms. Shiree has taught lessons in New Braunfels for more than 5 years, and teaches both in her private studio and with the Comal School District. Christian Youth Theather

At Christian Youth Theater, we are developing character and creativity in kids of all ages through quality theater arts training that brings families and communities together while reflecting the Creator! We offer:

  • Classes: Come take a CYT class taught by skilled and passionate teaching artists! Whether you want to sing, dance, act, or work behind the scenes, we have a class for you. With Virtual and Face to Face offerings, there is something for everyone! Classes are offered for 8 - 10 weeks in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.
  • Shows: Students ages 8 - 18 enrolled in classes are eligible to audition for the Mainstage Show that session.

The Community Music Academy at Texas Lutheran University offers youth choir, orchestra, and private lessons. Classes are taught by faculty members. The environment is fun and encouraging with an emphasis on excellence in performance. Classes are available for all ages.

Clubs & Scouts

ASCEND Speech & Debate

We are a Christan home-schooled family speech and debate club serving 12-18-year-old students. We are parent run, student lead, and family friendly--all members of a family are encouraged to join in the learning and actively participate. Our purpose is to develop critical thinking skills, discernment, and leadership skills within a biblical worldview by engaging in a wide variety of speech and debate events ultimately focused on the goal to speak the truth in love to all.

4H Club

Texas 4-H is part of Texas A & M AgriLife Extension Service, and the largest youth development program in Texas. It's for kids ages 5 - 18. 4-H activities will start in Septemer. Sea Scouts

Sea Scouts are members of the international Scouting movement and, specifically, the Venturing program that the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) offers for young men and women ages 14-21. The emphasis is on boating and water-based activities that can be conducted on lakes, rivers, or in the ocean. Sea Scouts are provided a chance to sail, cruise on boats, learn navigation, learn how to work on engines and compete in a series of boat races called regattas.
